People are used to reading about the “C Word: but here at Maggie’s on the Runway we are all about the “M Word”; Maggie’s Models.

Maggie’s Models are people who have been affected by cancer. Maybe they have just been diagnosed or going through treatment. Some have been clear for over 10 years and some might have lost someone close to cancer. What they all have in common is that they know how if feels like to live with a cancer diagnosis.

The treatment merry-go-round, the everyday battles and the loss of confidence and self-esteem. They also know that places like Maggie’s are there to support them and their loved ones through this journey from just being a place to relax between hospital tests and appointments to a valuable source of information and advice.

Being apart of our Maggie’s on the Runway fashion extravaganza gives our models a new focus and a chance to claim back some of that confidence as well as providing a safe space to meet other people who understand the challenges that a cancer diagnosis brings. It also gives everyone a fabulous day to remember.

Maggie’s on the Runway is a fashion show with a difference, emotional, inspirational and uplifting whilst raising money so we can keep supporting people who’s lives have been changed by cancer..
